Pixelmetrix introduces its DVStor-Eco, exclusive for the Japanese Market, at InterBEE 2010

Tokyo, November 16, 2010 – Pixelmetrix, the global expert in Preventive Monitoring for digital television and IPTV networks, launches its DVStor-Eco at the InterBEE show, Booth 5308, Makuhari Messe.

The DVStor-Eco applies video compression to optimize storage space.  It is designed to meet specific Compliance Recording requirements in Japan.  During live recording, the DVStor-Eco can transcode high bandwidth video content to 2 Mbps with a built-in MPEG-2 encoder.  This contributes to tremendous reduction of required disk space, without compromising on quality.

Key features of the DVStor-Eco include ASI input/output, IP playout, 100% recording of SI, Datacast and EPG, comes with full-seg and 1-seg support, RAID-5 protection as well as dual power supply standard.  It also supports an optional internally mounted ISDB-T RF modulator that allows direct Set Top Box or TV connection for content playback and verification of datacasting services.

Two other products to be featured at the show are the award-winning DVStation and Electronic Couch Potato™ (ECP).

DVStation, the flagship product of Pixelmetrix Preventive Monitoring line, extends the power and flexibility to track thousands of parameters within hundreds of television signals – from SDI signals to encoded MPEG and RF signals – simultaneously, continuously and in real-time.

The Electronic Couch Potato™ connects after the Set Top Box (STB) and provides feedback on various service quality parameters to a central site.  It can emulate an end-user changing channels on a STB via a built-in infrared (IR) transmitter.  Service plan verification, channel switching and multiple measurements on service quality for each channel reported to a central management console, give service providers valuable insight into the viewer experience and confirms the availability of subscribed channels.

Pixelmetrix develops a host of IPTV and Preventive Monitoring systems that offer unique attributes and versatility, allowing operators to achieve end-to-end visibility and keep tabs on their network architecture.

Pixelmetrix exhibits at InterBEE with Hoei Sangyo, the authorized distributor in Japan.

InterBEE is held from November 17 to 19 at the Makuhari Messe, Tokyo.
