Pixelmetrix to demo its line-up of Test & Monitoring Solutions at SMPTE Australia 2011

Singapore, July 18, 2011 – Pixelmetrix, the global expert in Preventive Monitoring for digital television and IPTV networks, together with Techtel, the authorized distributor in Australia, will be at SMPTE Australia 2011 this week, Hall 4, Booth G35, to showcase Pixelmetrix Consolidator™ – Network Management System, StationView™ – for simplified centralized monitoring,  Electronic Couch Potato™ (ECP) Video Quality Index™ (VQI), DVStor² – Compliance Recording and Disaster Recovery solution, DVStation-IP³ – for IP Headend Monitoring and DVStation-Mini² DVB-T – for Terrestrial Network Monitoring.

Consolidator™ provides centralized access and visibility of key network fault and performance information. Scalable to thousands of probes and millions of data points, it tracks all parameters in real time, through a combination of push notifications and information pull mechanisms, enabling faster fault resolution, thus improving Quality of Service.

StationView™ presents television operators with Simple, Effective Monitoring, utilizing the power and flexibility of SNMP without the complexity and hassle of heavy network management systems. Perfect for remote transmitter monitoring, StationView consolidates alarms and status from up to 15 remotely located DVStation probes into a concise dashboard showing RF status, TS bandwidth alarms, transport stream health and service/content verification results. Audio and Video status is also summarized for each service. The ECP VQI is a video quality measurement tool that scans all channels, identifies common video impairments such as macro-blocking, tiling and freeze frame, then combines them to a single, integrated metric. Results are consolidated across all channels and remote sites – making it easy to identify when and where video quality issues strike.

DVStor² offers one of the highest storage densities in the industry, with a capacity of up to 48TB, assuring reliable performance. RAID-6 and redundant power supplies further protect archived content, making it perfect for Disaster Recovery at a remote site, Compliance Recording, network delay or delayed broadcast.

DVStation-IP³ is a complete solution for video over IP quality assurance. It monitors all multicast and unicast streams on a fully loaded Gigabit ink. Supporting SPTS and MPTS, it provides unmatched coverage for IP, Transport Stream, SI and content. It also decodes video thumbnails for all services - encoding metadata, running blackout and freeze-frame tests.

DVStation-Mini² DVB-T monitors DVB-T transmitters and SFN networks, provides RF measurements and TS analysis, and video service support for H.264 SD and HD.

Over at the Conference Room 2, Hall 3, on Thursday, July 21 at 1.30 pm, Danny Wilson, Pixelmetrix President & CEO, will be presenting a paper on QoE/QoS Performance Metrics for OTT Video.  During his presentation, attendees can glean tips on key OTT performance metrics and how it works.

Pixelmetrix develops a host of IPTV and Preventive Monitoring systems that offer unique attributes and versatility, allowing operators to achieve end-to-end visibility and keep tabs on their network architecture.

SMPTE Australia is held from July 19 to 22, at the Sydney Exhibition Centre.
